Neon Light
One of the oldest establishments in Los Angeles was Clifton’s Cafeteria and it was situated in a historic building. The owner discovered a neon light as he renovated the bathroom. The strange part was the fact that the neon light was still on. According to experts, the neon light had been on for more than 7 decades which made it the longest lit neon light in the world. The owner remembered that it was first lit way back in 1935 when the building was just transformed into a forest-themed diner. The owner was proud at first, but it dawned on him that he had paid more than $17,000 for electrical bills because of the neon lights. This case confused the experts because neon lights were known to work for only 4 decades straight.
