Another incident that should be included in this list was when contractors who were doing renovations in Arizona discovered $500,000 in cash and the money was stashed inside military ammunition containers. The contractors declared the cash to be theirs. However, the new homeowners argued that since it was found in their property, the cash was supposed to be for them. In the end, the court disagreed with both parties and said that the owner was the one who hid the cash in the first place. Since Robert Spann died eleven years before the discovery of the money, it was given to his two daughters.
