Worst: Pete Fountain, Irma Thomas, Doug Kershaw and Snoopy, 1990

There were two tributes at the halftime show of the 1990 Super Bowl. It was meant to celebrate New Orleans and the 40th anniversary of Peanuts. It was a good thing that the Big Easy never disappointed when it comes to music. The show came to a close with Snoopy on a steamboat in the Mississippi River, dancing to “When the Saints Go Marching In” that then morphed into “Happy Birthday, Charlie Brown.” As you can imagine, it confused the heck out of everyone. The lack of coherence with the music impacted the enjoyment of the audience. It might be intriguing, but it still deserves a spot on our list.
