Worst: Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Forbidden Eye, 1995

Tony Bennett, Miami Sound Machine, Patti LaBelle, and Teddy Pendergrass participated in a halftime show together. Sadly, The Bleacher Report referred to it as “the craziest, weirdest, most unbelievable—and many would say the worst—Super Bowl halftime show ever.” The NFL Senior Vice President of Special Events Jim Steeg said that the league ran into an issue after the successful halftime performance of Michael Jackson. “After Michael Jackson, a lot of big, A-list talent was afraid to compete with him,” he explained. Anyway, the show had live pythons, an actor portraying Indiana Jones, skydivers, and a great deal of stunt people on the set. While it had a lot of potential, it failed to live up to expectations.
