Looking At Stolen Art
This photo shows the Nazi looting of Generals Bradley, Eisenhower, and Patton. Those were some of the world’s most famous paintings! They were collected as most of Europe had been invaded by the Nazis. In two museums created during the Second World War, they kept the works and displayed them. The first featured Aryan works, while Picasso and other famous artists were placed in a “degenerative art” museum. But ultimately, the latter saw four times as many visitors as the other one!
