You were wrong if you thought that the stars received a lot of money to perform at the halftime show. The truth is that they do not get much. In fact, the performers only get reimbursements for the expenses they spend. This includes fees for the backup singers, dancers, production, travel, and lodging. The reasoning behind this is that no performer could get this big of an audience at a single event, so the exposure is allegedly enough payment on its own. In 2013, Forbes said that the NFL spent more than $600,000 on the production expenses of Beyonce’s performance. Whoa.
