After the arrest, he was immediately brought to Rikers Island which is home to New York City’s main jail complex. His stay there was only temporary as Bobby and the authorities waited for his deportation back to North Carolina. After almost five decades, Bobby was back in prison again. Despite the fact that his case already happened a long time ago, he would still face a very serious consequence. He also learned that he would be facing 10 years of imprisonment – the remaining number of years he was still supposed to serve before he escaped.
