Drexel was a teenager in New York who had gone missing on April 25, 2009. She went for a spring break trip, but it did not turn out to be her plan. At the age of seventeen, the last time she was seen was in Myrtle Beach, SC her mother did not want her to go for a trip, yet she did not listen and traveled all the way from Rochester, New York just to reach Myrtle Beach.
