Isn’t Maggie Smith a Hogwarts student? It appears that this is not the case. The 85-year-old Downton Abbey actress lives in a 15th-century red-brick farmhouse in Pulborough, West Sussex, where she also plays Professor McGonagall in the Harry Potter series. The image above, however, is not it. Downton Abbey’s Byfleet Manor is her—or must we say Lady Violet Crawley’s—residence. The estate, which was located in Byfleet, Surrey, did belong to businesswoman Julie Hutton. In 2015, she sold the 17th-century mansion for £5.95 million, which is roughly $7.7 million in today’s money. The 6,000-square-foot mansion is surrounded by 18 acres of green land and is full of vintage awesomeness on the inside.
