This photo shows Nikita Khrushchev, the Soviet Premier, helping Indonesian President Sukarno light his cigarette. They seem friendly here because, after China and Russia led him away, Sukarno managed to eliminate Western Imperialist oppression in his country. It all changed when, on September 30, 1965, communist forces staged a coup. After that incident, he was ousted.
