Before Jane Fonda became known as ‘Hanoi Jane,” she was “living the good life” and was considered the fantasy of every American man. This image shows her protesting the war in Vietnam after visiting the Asian nation. She became known as an advocate for Native Americans, the Black Panthers, and the anti-Vietnam War movement in the next few years. At five U.S. bases, she was even arrested! Ultimately, she apologized for her actions. We can not deny, however, that seeing a pin-up girl turn into an activist was cool.
