The OG Ronald McDonald
Most people imagine a cartoon clown these days when they think about Ronald McDonald. However, the guy in this picture was more likely to make us cry than bring a smile to our face. Willard Scott was the man who played the original Ronald McDonald, but he was eventually fired because of his weight and lack of energy. A paper cup nose, a styrofoam McDonald’s meal hat, and a cheeseburger belt were included in the costume. We now understand why, after seeing this, some individuals have an irrational fear of clowns.
