As much as we would imagine blonde hair and blue eyes in Ukraine, the reverse is literally true-dark hair, and very distinct cheekbones are seen as stunning. The standard values for attractiveness were thin and pale women, but chubby women were actually admired and valued as the ideal before the 20th century. They like a natural look and do not want women to look like models. Ukraine does not appreciate a synthetic look or an artificial look.
