The Marriage between Lyle Lovett, a country singer, and Julia Roberts, a well-known actress, was best described as short but intense. The two of them decided to get married only after three weeks since they started to date. During that time, Julia Roberts was only 25 years old, and even though she was young, she already had a series of short-lived romances. As for Lyle Lovett, he was already 35 and was never married. The two of them decided to get married on June 27, 1993. They shared their vows in Marion, Indiana. The couple had gotten married during a weekend off from shooting the film The Pelican Brief. The two of them managed to be with each other for two days before she returned to the set so that she could continue filming. As for Lyle, he was also busy touring. In all honesty, the pair did not have much time for each other in the duration of the 21 months that they had been married. Finally, the two of them decided to file for a divorce in March 1995. Despite the split, they were able to continue being friends. Both of them had a lot of respect for each other and would always have something special. Julia Roberts said in an interview, “Some people think of togetherness in terms of physicality. I think that when you have great love and you’re secure in that, it doesn’t matter how far apart you are.” What she had said back then was sweet, but in the real world, it would be more practical to be able to have some quality time together with the partner.
