Dong Il Jang
Los Angeles, home to the largest Korean community outside of Korea, has long been celebrated for its vibrant Koreatown, where both traditional and modern Korean cuisine thrive. Dong Il Jang, one of the neighborhood’s oldest and most iconic restaurants, was founded 41 years ago. Announcing its closure on Instagram, the owners shared, “Over the past four decades, we’ve faced many challenges, but the Covid-19 pandemic has made it incredibly difficult for us to survive…”
