Eater Los Angeles praised this five-year-old contemporary Mexican restaurant as “powerful” and “genre-bending.” The establishment relied heavily on business from the downtown hub of sports arenas, convention centers, and concert venues—all of which were shuttered due to the pandemic. In early August, owner-chef Ray Garcia took to Instagram to announce the restaurant’s closure. Despite this setback, Garcia plans to launch a new delivery-only taco venture called Mila.
