Special Protocol
The Ordnung is a collection of social laws that governs what can and cannot be done. Everything from dress to technology to education is governed by the Ordnung regulations. The phrases “command” and “discipline” are derived from a German word. Because the Amish have no central church authority, each assembly is autonomous and self-governing.
