Loretta Lynn
Loretta released her first album in 1963. It was a momentous success. She was not scared to sing about controversial topics such as double standards for men and women and birth control. The other singers were inspired by her work and some of them also started to sing to voice out their feelings about similar issues, and this disrupted an industry where these kinds of subjects were normally considered taboo. She was deemed to be the most awarded artist as a country recording artist across the globe. She was still active until today. She served as the role model for younger generations and proved that age was more than just a number.
