There was a time when a bald eagle got caught in a coyote trap. A hiker found the large bird in Juneau, Alaska’s woods. She photographed the irritated fowl but later released it. Regrettably, the individual was eventually punished for tampering with someone else’s trap. A $500 fine was imposed on her! She then went to court but was excused because the judge admired what she had done. Unfortunately, due to its injuries from the trap, the eagle had to be put down.
