It was difficult for Elin to let go of the past and begin a fresh life in the present. She had to come to terms with two basic truths. For starters, her spouse had lied to her for the majority of their married life. And two, she was now primarily responsible for the care of their children. This was a difficult situation for her. She was able to recover control of her life as a result of her daily journaling.
