The character of Bridget Schimdt was played by Judy Greer. In the show, Bridget acts as Walden’s ex-wife who was found to be the reason for Walden’s suicide attempt (which was prevented by Alan when he caught him about to take his life). Their divorce struck Walden so much, that it drained him of his will to live. Alan was there for all of Walden’s hardship and helped through his tough times. Bridget became known more by the viewers after Ashton Kutcher replaced Charlie Sheen.
