When it comes to punk rock, no one is more influential than Joe Strummer. He started a band called The Clash, which has since been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The second album by the band reached the second spot on the UK charts. The third and fourth albums saw success across the pond and even went platinum! Strummer has collaborated with other musical acts like the Pogues, 101ers, Latino Rockabilly, and the Mescaleros in the past. He launched a solo career, worked on radio plays, wrote scores for screen projects, and performed for an activist organization called Rock Against Racism.
