This does pose a risk of floating, but the otters have devised the greatest solution: they can anchor themselves by wrapping sea kelp around their bodies. The kelp grows on the ocean floor, preventing the otters from floating away. But what happens if there isn’t any kelp? They are holding hands. This prevents them from drifting apart and makes them even more adorably cute.
