Justin diverted any fears about his own safety. He focused on the sacrifice of those around him during his rehabilitation. For many months, he will not be able to pick up his children as he recovers. He said that he’s going to miss working in the classroom. He said at the end of the day, “This is not a zero-sum equation.” And I’m going to get back to whatever level of health I have. I’m just going to continue with my life, but he gets 20 good years out of that.
