Longer Lasting Plants
Plants, like humans, need a certain amount of salt to survive, but too much can be toxic. Most plants can tolerate salt water on their leaves and stems, but they will dehydrate if they drink salt water from the soil. Even if they don’t dehydrate, an excess of salt in their systems can poison them. To take away, avoid watering your plants with salt water if you want them to thrive. Epsom salt, baking soda, and household ammonia can be combined into a fertilizer that will help plants maintain healthy foliage and stimulate growth.
