Bandages Origin
The Weeknd’s album, “After Hours”, was being promoted with a wounded and bandaged persona who is “having a really awful night.” The story began with the Heartless music video, featuring the star staggering about the casinos and fountains of Sin City, drinking to excess and sucking a hallucinogenic toad before attempting to flee. It was inspired by Hunter S Thompson’s Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas. The artist is seen drunkenly drifting through the empty city in the video for Blinding Lights, while remembering back to an event in a nightclub that left him with blood flowing down his face.
