Up With People
We already told you this, but Up With People has the most performances at the halftime shows of the Super Bowl. What are they exactly? Well, it is an educational organization formed as part of a spiritual movement called the Moral Re-Armament in 1965. It began doing “Sing Out shows” and began to get Super Bowl gigs even though it was not particularly popular among fans of football. A lot of people say that it helped establish the modern halftime performances as we know them now: big, bold, and dramatic. It is interesting to learn that Glenn Close used to be a member of this group.
