Best: Rolling Stones, 2006
In 2006, The Rolling Stones did a great job with their Super Bowl halftime performance with “Rough Justice” and “Start Me Up”. Even though “Satisfaction” was completely expected, everyone had a blast with it. “This one we could have done for Super Bowl I,” joked Mick Jagger before he launched into the song. They had to swap out or skip the racier lyrics of the song, but the show producer insisted on suing a ten-second delay for emergencies with words or lyrics. The band delivered a loud and energetic show that made the critics and crowds happy. They ended the set with a performance of “Rough Justice.”
