Around the 1920s and 1930s, Gene Sarazen was seen as one of the best golfers in the world. In addition, he is one of five players to succeed in the Career Grand Slam with success in the U.S. Open, PGA Championship, The Open Championship, and Masters Tournament. He finished his career with 49 pro wins to his name. In 1996 he was awarded the PGA Tour Lifetime Achievement Award. He passed away at 97 years old, with a net worth of $17 million.
