Miriam Adelson
The Israeli-American philanthropist Miriam Adelson received her medical degree from Tel Aviv University’s Sackler Medical School and eventually became the chief internist in the emergency room. She met her current husband, Sheldon Adelson, while she was studying drug addiction at the University of Rockefeller, and tied the knot in 1991. The pair launched the Las Vegas-based Dr Miriam and Sheldon G. Adelson Research Clinic. Sheldon Adelson, who established the Las Vegas Sands Corporation, is an American business magnate. The couple raised 33.5 billion dollars together.
