The Lion King (1994)
The Lion King is a great example of how movie rumors spread fast on the internet. In the animated classic, parents were furious to spot a PG-13 word. The scene where Simba, Pumba, and Timon are lying on a rock, gazing up the stars but rumors got out of control that even one of the movie’s animators had to step forward to clarify the scene. In actual fact, it wasn’t as dirty as people thought because the word spells “SFX” which was courtesy of the film’s art and special effects department.
