John F. Kennedy served as President of the United States from 1961 to 1963, and he was the 35th President of the United States. Because of his assassination in 1963, he was sadly forced to leave office early. Because of the footage and many tributes to it that have been produced over the years, the event will live on in our hearts and minds forever. It is significant to note that John F. Kennedy is the only Roman Catholic president in the history of the United States. He garnered a great deal of recognition for his outstanding leadership abilities during the Cuban Missile Crisis and the formation of the United Nations Peace Corps, among other things.
