From 1901 to 1909, Theodore Roosevelt served as President of the United States. Teddy, as he was affectionately known, won the respect of the public for his persuasive public speaking abilities, as well as his administrative and foreign relations abilities. Among other things, he is responsible with the establishment of numerous national parks and forests, as well as the construction of numerous landmark monuments.
