A Humble Life
Raising fourteen children is no simple task, but Natalie Suleman seems to be succeeding. She rents a two-bedroom flat, and the whole family lives paycheck to paycheck and on food stamps. Natalie told the Daily Mail that she finally feels “at ease” with all of the challenges she faced raising so many children on her own, partially because she can use her story to empower and educate people to make wise decisions. Natalie no longer likes being referred to as “Octomom,” and she admits, “I didn’t want to survive.” To live and care for my relatives, I feel less than human as the role I was pretending to be.”
