Mike Vitar was the go-to actor in Hollywood for sports movies in his youth after he starred in The Sandlot and The Mighty Ducks franchise. The young actor quickly realized how unstable life as an actor can be, so he said goodbye to his fame in favor of becoming a firefighter. After graduating from high school, he worked for Gerber Ambulance. Helping emergency medical services was part of the reason he wanted to become a firefighter.
