We might ask ourselves what she would answer if someone asked her about her family? People around her usually did not question her family. Crystal would respond to those curious about her family that she did not have anyone anymore. After they heard what she replied, people would not ask another question. The daughter stated, “It’s not a rare thing to not have a family.” It was why she was believed by her new community.
