Even though he was always one of the popular WWE superstars, CM Punk reached the levels of popularity that the Rock/Stone Cold had by the time he left the promotion. At WWE events, particularly those in Chicago, his name is still chanted by fans. Nevertheless, no one should expect him to come back to a WWE ring. His relationship with the management was strained even before he left wrestling to pursue a career in MMA. Things even went as far as the WWE suing Punk and wrestler Colt Cabana for slander. However, Punk took a job with Fox Sports, appearing on WWE Backstage as an analyst and a contributor. He was hoping to mend fences this way.
