These days, he gets to enjoy the peaceful countryside without a care in the world. The Smiths took him on after falling in love with the dog the minute they laid their eyes on him. Even though Kyle clearly misses his police dog days, nothing compares to how much he misses John. He has a deep bond with his former work partner as he grew up alongside the police officer. Together, the two of them solved cases and found many missing people. It was hard to be apart from someone you love. This is something that the dog knew better than anyone.
