No Use Crying Over Spilled Beer
In this photo, there were lots of things going on. This was taken during the era of Prohibition in Detroit. Agents heard of a secret distillery which, in the hope of preventing discovery, then dumped the moonshine into Boston Harbor. In Michigan, prohibition was very unpopular. In 1928, there were 16,000 to 25,000 Detroit Speakeasies. Besides, Michigan was the first state to ratify its repeal!
