Have you seen any movies that portray the life of Jesus including his crucifixion? In those films and in the illustrations found by the historian, it was seen that the Messiah wore a short tunic and a cape. It was believed that the robe was not just a regular or the traditional mantle that the people wore during that era instead, it was a prayer mantle.
