The Perfect Image
Hundreds of years ago, images or portrayals of Jesus have been created by hundreds or maybe thousands of artists. Can you imagine how many images of Jesus have been already by this time? Even after numerous studies, it is still now clear and confirmed how Jesus really looked like back then. However, up to this day, we still expect to see him as the long-haired and bearded man that we used to know. Also, the man who’s wearing the white robe and sandals, let’s not forget about that to complete the look. Some portrayals even have halos. Joan Taylor, a professor, and a historian said that the artists of such masterpieces wanted people to see Jesus as holy.
