Before he acquired it, many companies were interested in buying the island and putting up a number of developments there. Bacon has different things in mind as he wants to keep the landscape the way it is. It is a good thing that he finalized the purchase and plans to preserve the landscape. He also founded the Robins Island Foundation as a way to support the restoration and protection of the waterways, coastline, and landscapes of the island.
