Floating Rugs
It’s critical to remember that indoor carpets aren’t art; they need to be connected to something in the space. A rug should always be touching a piece of furniture, regardless of its size. Floating area rugs are a no-no because they make a room appear uncomfortable and out of proportion. A haphazardly placed rug can put an entire room’s decor out of balance. So, when you go out and get an area rug, make sure you measure everything so your space doesn’t end up looking like the one below.
