The historic, cream-colored outlet covers and light switches let us determine whether a house was ancient or not. We could clean it, but it’d still be filthy and dingy. Changing the light switches and outlet covers would not solve the problem, and it was also not the most cost-effective solution. It was one of those things that has a big bearing on how you look.
