Jane Powell was a musical artist in her ‘40s. She had a contract with the same company as Arlene Dahl, with photos of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. She was the star of Judy’s A Date, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, and Hit the Deck. She rarely performed in movies during the ’50s but concentrated on working in the theatre.
