Queen Elizabeth was now considered to be the longest-reigning British monarch. In 1952, she began her rule over the UK. She dominated Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and other nations of the Commonwealth, but all have now gained independence. It was obvious that it would still take a long time for her throne to be handed over to the next in line. Six hundred million dollars was not worth her estimated value.
