Billie Holiday
Before getting her big break, Billie Holiday had been working at Harlem music clubs. We are glad that she was discovered by a record producer called John Hammond. If it had not been for him, she would not have recorded her first songs. With “What a Little Moonlight Can Do,” she was able to find a ton of success. She was one of the most popular vocal jazz artists out there despite her lack of formal training!
