Once it broke up, she launched a successful career as a solo musician. She made music that had electronic, disco, and pop influences. Her debut solo album “Read My Lips” came out in 2001. It reached the second top spot of the UK Albums Charts and has since gone double-platinum. On the other hand, her second one reached the seventh spot on the UK charts in 2007.
