Dusty Springfield
It was pretty easy for this British musician to make it big in the United States. Dusty Springfield broke into the soul scene with bops like “Son of Preacher Man” and “I Just Don’t Know What to Do with Myself.” Apart from this, she is also known for making a splash during the Swinging Sixties. It was cool to see her in evening gowns during her performances. She fought cancer for five years but passed away in 1999. Even though she is no longer around, her legacy in the music scene will be here forever.
