They began digging the mud with the excavator and their own workforce to create a pathway for the baby elephant to be rescued from the hole. They had been at it for a few hours and still hadn’t completed the task – their clothes were soiled, and their bodies were tired, but they had to keep going. Despite their exhaustion, the authorities kept remembering the struggle the baby animal was going through, which inspired them to keep working.
